“Patrice

We have successfully unleashed an unstoppable process, the virtual conversational nature of your technique was an inspiration as to how we can further create that sense of belonging.

It was genius .”

“The engagement and feedback was great I am sure that employees found this discussion authentic and resourceful in helping to build an inclusive culture here at XX.

XX and Patrice both did a magnificent job in facilitating and presenting. The authenticity of your questions and answers were well received. I received calls and text messages during and after the session with great feedback from the employees regarding the topics. We also engaged over 1k employees within the Zoom meeting for the entire hour, which is remarkable.”

What prompted you to seek coaching in the first instance?

There were a few things I wanted to do in my work and personal life but had been lacking the motivation and confidence to do so. A friend suggested speaking to a life coach and I thought it would be a good opportunity to give me the guidance I needed.

I applied for a few promotions and I was not successful in advancing my career, I felt I lacked the confidence and direction to reach my full potential. I discussed my career situation with a friend who then kindly suggested that I would benefit from coaching, I was very grateful when my friend put me in touch with Patrice.

Realising I need help, guidance and an honest opinion around my interviewing technique

What did you learn from your coaching sessions?

I have learnt that if you want to do/achieve something it's important to take each day/step as it comes instead of trying to think of whether I can reach my end goal as the key focus. When thinking about the end goal alone that's when it becomes overwhelming and seems unachievable.

I am a lot more confident and I have started to gain more respect from my peers and senior managers by being more assertive. I have also started coaching more junior colleagues at work and felt more confident when leading others. I feel that I have more direction in my life and I am not scared to dream big anymore. I started to make more time for reflecting on the previous week to identify where things worked well and where I could change or develop my approach to others, work, my family and mountain biking.

What have been the benefits of coaching to you personally?

It has definitely improved my confidence, encouraged me to be more assertive and believe in myself

I feel a sense of confidence and optimism that radiates into my family life. I feel responsible to own my own development in the future. I have someone who is non-judgemental to talk to in confidence about the challenges I may face in my personal and professional life.

I got offered 2 permanent roles after my coaching! I really like the idea of coaching and finding someone who can help me be a better version of me

If you could give one suggestion to Patrice on her coaching style that you believe would make her more effective - what would it be?

Patrice was absolutely amazing. She's a good listener, totally neutral and non-judgemental. It was so easy to speak to her, the sessions flew by and I honestly didn't know where the time went! She has such a calm aura, simply speaking to her/airing my thoughts made me feel lighter and also so motivated to get things done - in summary, I honestly wouldn't change anything!

Patrice truly went above and beyond her role as a coach to support me throughout the past few months, not only during coaching sessions but also over the phone some evenings and by email when I required some extra encouragement, advice and the tools to face some challenges while being on my journey to gaining a promotion at work. This selfless approach is what makes Patrice such an amazing coach. Patrice is very organised, professional, calm and non-judgemental in her coaching style.

What, if anything, did you not accomplish during the coaching sessions and if so – what got in the way?

I managed to achieve everything I wanted to professionally; I have yet to achieve some personal goals but they've not been achieved due to me deprioritising them for the interim

Longer term. I think I have an idea of what I would like to achieve in the longer term but not 100% clear. I would like to continue to have coaching sessions in order to ensure that I use the correct approaches, define my dreams even further and stay on track to reach my goals. I would like to also get better at coaching others, i.e.junior colleagues.

I would quite like to stop feeling like an imposter and that I don’t know what I'm doing. I think I need help around communication skills and stakeholder management

What did you learn from the coaching sessions?

I have learnt that if you want to do/achieve something, it's important to take each day/step as it comes instead of trying to think of whether I can reach my end goal as the key focus. When thinking about the end goal alone, that's when it becomes overwhelming and seems unachievable.

That if you want something bad enough and really focus your mind on achieving this goal that it can be achieved. It is okay to really push yourself to reach your full potential, otherwise, you will not reach your goals. The importance of self-reflection. Getting to know who I really am. Not only being so focussed on trying to become something but also making sure that I am freeing myself of things that I am not.

That there is help out there and if you put in the work with all of yourself and your heart, you can achieve anything!
